Mohawk Group updates Healthy Environments collection
Dalton – With a new range of styles and an expanded palette, Mohawk Group said its Healthy Environments collection now offers even more heterogeneous resilient plate options than ever before. According to the company, the collection is designed to help create spaces that comfort patients and their families.
High performing heterogeneous product styles feature the M-Force combined finish, wear layer and design layer, providing the exceptional scratch, stain and abrasion resistance required for healthcare and senior housing interiors. This extensive flooring line not only matches other Mohawk Group LVT and carpet collections, but also performs at the highest level, according to the company.
“You need a floor that beautifully supports all life in your facility,” said Elizabeth Bonner, design director for senior living and healthcare at Mohawk Group. “Life doesn’t stop where industry testing standards stop. Pedestrians keep walking, spills keep splashing, and heavy loads keep rolling. That is why we are constantly testing M-Force floors to outperform industry standards.”
The company said its Healthy Environments collection is inspired by the enticing, soothing colors and textures of species native to the desert southwest. Five heterogeneous resilient styles including reassuring wood planks, textured designs reminiscent of natural woven fibers and a grooved wood grain. Inspired by biophilic design, the Healthy Environments collection was created to promote healing and productivity in the built environment for health and wellness, the company said.
Healthy Environments also reflects Mohawk’s commitment to sustainability as this product line is manufactured right here in our country. Mohawk said it’s fulfilling its promise to be better for people and the planet by taking its products Beyond Carbon Neutral, meaning it’s 100% neutral plus an additional 5% for a net positive impact on the environment. In addition, all styles are FloorScore certified.
