Priority Power acquires Affordable Gas & Electric Company’s solar development business

Power Management Priority announced that it has successfully completed the acquisition of the energy procurement, consultancy and solar development activities of Affordable Gas & Electric Company (AGE).

This transaction expands Priority Power’s footprint in the Midwestern energy markets, where Priority Power, through Satori Energy (acquired in 2021), is a leader in energy procurement and advisory. The acquisition of AGE’s solar development business reinforces Priority Power’s commitment to be a leader in energy transition innovation.

AGE’s energy management services, headquartered in Mount Vernon, Illinois, serves hundreds of municipalities, chambers of commerce, corporations and industrial customers in Illinois and Ohio.

For a decade, AGE has aggregated commercial, industrial and municipal electricity customers into strategic “bulk energy taxes” to provide cost-effective and efficient energy procurement bargaining power to its 125,000+ residential and 1,000+ commercial customers. AGE offers a complete package of energy management and solutions aimed at energy transition and sustainability. AGE also offers solar community programs, behind-the-meter solar solutions, cogeneration solutions, and other energy efficiency services, such as lighting retrofits.

“AGE’s aggregation activities in energy procurement and energy transition initiatives are a perfect complement to the growing suite of services that Priority Power offers, through Satori, to our Midwestern customers,” added David C. Wiers, president of Satori. .
