PHOTOS: Roofing Begins as Work Continues on New Monorail Station at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
The new monorail station at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is taking shape ahead of the hotel’s full reopening later this year.
Since we last checked in, not much has changed with the carriage gate leading to the Great Ceremonial House.
The concrete support columns are completely sheathed, so roofing will likely be the next step.
Pink paint will remain on half of the monorail supports.
There is a new jetty on top of the Monorail platform.
Some roofing is visible above the station.
The small part of the roof covering is divided into three strands.
The roof covering is located on either side of the top of the structure.
Meanwhile, the crew were on the walkway leading from the monorail station to the Great Ceremonial House.
Some of the columns are covered with concrete.
When completed, the carriage gate and monorail station will look something like the concept art below.
