Nextracker showcasing new trunk connector for solar trackers at RE+
Nex tracker has launched its patented NX Powermerge Trunk Connector, designed a DC current component to streamline the electric balance of systems (EBOs). This marks the first addition to the EBOS platform of Nexpracker since the company’s Bentek’s takeover this year.

“We are pleased to introduce NX Powermerge to promote the electrical architecture of solar energy plants,” said SHUGAR, founder and CEO of Nextracker. “Customers will appreciate faster and more flexible construction, more reliability and coordination with the characteristics of a modern grid. This is the kind of very scalable technology that can help solar energy to continue to grow its share in the global market for electricity generation.”
Compared to traditional trunk systems, NX Powermerge uses fewer connections and a simplified installation process to set up a safe power distribution path over the tracker array. NX Powermermer is built for compatibility with all solar trackers on solar rackers and fixed-tilt systems and is tested to withstand extreme environmental conditions, and scales when integrated with Nextracker’s NX Horizon Solar Tracking Systems. NX Powermerge Trunk Connector is now available with shipments from spring of 2026 and offers an option made in its own country.
NX Powermerge is a 2-KV-ready solution for PV-string-to-trunk bus connections. It has more than 400-a-ambacity and can support a maximum of eight tap wires (six to eight AWG) and is compatible with hull conductors up to 1000 kcmil. The system also uses gel -free sealing for cleaner installations
NEXTRacker will present its full technology platform, including NX Powermerge, on Booth V9223 on RE+ 2025 in the Venetian in Las Vegas from 8 to 11 September.
