Motive Energy installing 1-MW solar + storage system atop California chemical distributor

Motivating energy will install a 1.02-MW solar project along with a 375 kW/753 kWh energy storage system at Univar Solutions’ facility in Commerce, California. Univar is a global distributor of chemicals and ingredients, and the solar project will reduce emissions from one of the company’s largest sites.

We look forward to continuing to invest in solar energy for our other locations around the world to reduce our carbon footprint in line with our net zero commitment.”

The project is expected to be completed in 2022. It will use Motive Energy’s Watt.io Energy Storage System and CodeWatt software suite to build a Microgrid at the Univar Solutions facility.
