Houston becomes energy transition capital of the world for Reuters Events flagship summit in November

It’s a sign of the times that Houston, Texas — a city dubbed the energy capital of the world because of its oil and gas preponderance — now employs more than 55,000 workers in the clean energy sector and ranks first in the nation in terms of wind power capacity. Indeed, the city now plays host to the full spectrum of energy and industrial leaders, with new cross-sector partnerships and collaborations to drive the transition to a low-carbon economy.

To celebrate this legacy and forge a sustainable future, Reuters Events will hold its flagship meeting for the energy community in November, Reuters Events: North America Energy Transition 2022, to Houston for two days of guiding insights, breaking news and building partnerships. Against the background of the COP27 climate conference, key industry changemakers will map out strategies to ensure safe, clean and affordable power in the United States and Canada.
