GameChange Solara global supplier of Solar Tracker and fixed tilt solutions, has designed a rivet connection option for mounting modules on its genius tracker system. This solution offers EPCs and project owners an alternative to traditional bolted module connections.
“By integrating the rivet-mounted modules into our genius tracker system, we are offering customers more flexibility in how they build and maintain solar projects,” said Vaibhav Joshi, director, Oceania and Sea at GameChange Solar. “This innovation provides streamlined installation and long-term reliability, making solar deployment even more efficient.”
While most PV projects use bolted connections between the racking system and modules, rivets can be connected without using the torque on pre-punched module mounting holes. According to Intertek and GameChange Solar’s research and design facility, the two-piece rivet complies with applicable sections of the UL 2703 standard. Additionally, internal testing at the company’s installation training center has evaluated installation and removal tools, which provide insight into field deployment.
