Domotex 2023 to kick off with new features

Domotex 2023Hannover, Germany – With a host of new features, Domotex 2023 will be on display at the Hannover Exhibition Center from January 12-15, here. The organizers of the show said that the 33rd edition of the world’s most important trade show for carpets and floor coverings will be a strong and innovative event.

The organizers of the Domotex 2023 show said the show will have several new features: a modern and optimized arrangement of the two newly introduced Domotex labels “Rugs” and “Flooring;” as well as an adapted hall structure will facilitate orientation. In addition, Domotex says it offers even more application orientation and more special formats geared to specific target groups for more atmosphere and relevance.

“At the next Domotex there will be many new things to discover,” said Sonia Wedell-Castellano, global director Domotex, Deutsche Messe AG. “We have used the past year intensively to develop new participation opportunities for companies and to create a new brand experience for our exhibition guests. The past two years in particular have shown that topics such as resource efficiency, environmentally friendly products and production processes, as well as difficult supply chains, are increasingly coming to the fore. With the special showcase ‘The Green Collection’, Domotex focuses on the theme of sustainability and offers exhibitors and visitors a hands-on experience of the keynote theme. The ‘new’ Domotex offers all those involved a lot of space for experience, orientation, innovation and inspiration, but also access to new customers, partners and suppliers. We present trends, innovations and lifestyle in a decentralized manner in the respective exhibition areas.”

Registrations above expectations

According to the fair organizers, the status of the registrations proves the positive reactions to Domotex, which will be held as a hybrid fair. “Many exhibitors have already confirmed their participation in Domotex before the registration was officially opened,” said Wedell-Castellano. “This once again underlines the importance of Domotex as a global marketplace and source of inspiration for the entire industry. And how important face-to-face meetings are for the industry.”

At Domotex 2023, two new labels will be introduced to optimize the orientation of the attendees: ‘Rugs’ and ‘Flooring’. The new hall layout occupies the northern part of the exhibition grounds, directly behind the main entrance, and brings together the product groups of both labels. This is intended to help trade fair visitors from the wholesale and retail trade, architecture, interior design, crafts and the furniture trade to better find their way.

In future, products and practical solutions from application and installation technology will be at home in Hall 22, directly adjacent to the hard floors and resilient floors in Hall 23. Textile floor coverings can be found across the street in Hall 19/20. Halls 19 to 23 thus form the “Flooring” label.

New space for inspiration

The show will also offer new formats and contact points in all product areas, according to the show organizers. These include the new atmosphere spaces, booths designed by interior designers who are said to represent current trends and express the floor and carpet as an integrated solution. The atmospheric rooms will be in hall 6.

With the also new special exhibition space “The Green Collection”, the theme of sustainability will take center stage in Hall 23 and will be presented in an inspiring ambiance. In line with the keynote, themed “Floored By Nature”, the special space “The Green Collection” will provide an overview of products and production processes of carpet and floor manufacturers who stand for sustainability, according to the exhibition organizers. Domotex said The Green Collection addresses the themes of eco-friendly products, healthy products, sustainable production and social responsibility. Ongoing research projects and certifiers have the opportunity to present themselves here.

According to the company, the International Carpet Design Awards (CDA) have been awarded for years by cover and Status Magazines are inextricably linked to Domotex, and designers and manufacturers will once again be honored with these awards next year.
