Crossville launches Owen Stone collection
Crossville, Tennessee – Crossville has launched the Owen Stone porcelain tile collection, the company’s latest line that embraces the natural elements and expands the brand’s offerings that respond to the biophilia trend.
In particular, this innovative collection features a new leather finish, a first for Crossville. The finish is achieved by running diamond-tipped brushes over the fired tile. The result is a surprisingly smooth feel with tremendous visual richness, but without compromising DCOF and technical performance standards for the commercial-grade porcelain, the company said.
In addition to the leather finish, Owen Stone is offered in an exterior finish that allows visually seamless installations from the inside out and meets the demands of outdoor applications.
“The finishes are the big story with Owen Stone,” said Lindsey Waldrep, vice president of marketing. “First, our new leather finish is really exciting. It’s silky and soft to the touch – extremely luxurious and ideal for barefoot floors, but also suitable for high-traffic commercial environments. Combined with the durability of our exterior finish, this collection will answer countless design possibilities.”
The Owen Stone collection is offered in six dark to light colors: Teddy, Sable, Mittens, Slipper, Bunny and Down. Generous dimensions of field tiles include the large format 24 x 48, as well as 12 x 24 and 24 x 24. All are rectified for high-quality indoor and outdoor installations. Rounding out the offering are two mosaics, bullnose and cove base.
Owen Stone is made in the USA and is Green Square Certified. The line is covered by Crossville’s EPD, HPD, Declare Label and Porcelain Tile Sustainability Report – all of which the company says can contribute to LEED, Well, LBC and other green building rating systems.
